Having been off-line (and OUTSIDE AND BOXING !!) for the bulk of the
summer, I missed the SitRep debate but discovered the poll and the
new database for reporting letterbox status.
I loaded up the database last night with a bunch of RI and MA
letterboxes I found so far this summer.

I applaud your efforts but don't be surprised if all your
entries end up being deleted like mine were. I like the
database idea but others who feel more stongly do not,
so I will probably not make any more entries. I will
try to contact placers offline with status of their boxes
because I like others to contact me about mine, but sharing
status information about boxes to the group appears to be taboo.

Thanks for the heads up, Silver Eagle. I will send individual emails
to the placers from now on.
Sigh.
